Long Lost Hobby

I was rummaging some of the stuff my mom moved to my room back in Las Pinas when I came across my old sketchpad. It was actually quite dusty and the pages have turned a bit yellowish, proof that I haven't been using it for a long time. Of course, it consists of drawings I did back in the 1990s, when I was still in highschool. Wow, saying that (or typing for this matter), feels like I'm telling a bedtime story to my grandchildren.

Anyway, as I turned the pages one by one, I can't help but smile and reminisce how I was back then. I was so full of life. Very determined. Confined to my very pampered world. Oblivious to the disappointments and heartaches that the future will bring. That is why it's called LIFE. Good thing I am happy and at peace now.
And once upon a time, I was at peace when there's a pencil or pen in my hand, drawing or writing. I know my sketches are not that great but I always enjoy the compliments from my cousin and best friend, the two people who I share this with. Let me now show you some of my drawings that I kept hidden for years.
My cousin's pic when he was 9 months...

My version of a nude sketch. I was my own model. huwahaha..

I was feeling religious at that time...
This was how I envisioned myself in college, staying at a dorm which never happened.

I don't really know what I was thinking then.

Flowers From The Guilty Husband To The Freaked Out Wife

I was feeling annoyed last friday since my Niccolo will be going to a team building for 2 days. Don't get me wrong, it's not because I can't come with them but because I don't want to sleep alone at night, specially on my rest day.

So I fell asleep friday night watching TV. I was suddenly awaken when I sense a presence of a male spirit in our room. I can sense that he was between his late teens to mid twenties, long hair, and was wearing a white shirt. He also had this mischievous grin like he's playing a joke. I initially thought that it was one of my husband's nephews using our computer, which is located near the foot of our bed, but I know it wasn't. I know a spirit when I sense one. I'm used to sensing spirits everywhere but this one freaked me out because he was directing his energy at me. I felt him stepping on our bed. I felt the mattress moved with every step he made. And I also felt him when he jumped from our bed and run towards our bathroom. That was scary! But I fell asleep again after an hour or so praying the rosary. Prayer is will always be the best defense.

The next day, I texted my husband about my experience. He's one of the few people who believes me, who know I'm not going crazy. Poor Niccolo. He was already feeling guilty for leaving me alone, much more when he learned my story. He sent me a bouquet of flowers that same morning. One of the things I love about him is he always make sure that he'll be able to make up for his shortcomings. Although it doesn't compensate the experience I had, somehow, that beautiful surprise made my day.

Hubby and Hobby

Almost 3 months into our marriage and I really miss our wedding preps. Sometimes I really wanted to buy myself a new wedding magazine or just check out the daily digest on my wedding-related yahoogroup. I've been hearing a lot from our soon to be married office mates about an upcoming bridal fair and I really wanted to attend again another one. Of course my husband is preppy much against to these all and wanted me to let go of the whole wedding stuff. Believe me, I do want to let go but I guess it was just too addicting!

That's why I decided to start a new hobby, Lomography. Nico was just all too supportive. Specially since this could take my attention off the wedding stuff. It's a really cool type of photography. It's kind of low tech really but that's what makes it interesting. The effects are dreamy! Anyway, since I'm just a beginner, don't expect to see perfect shots. These are just some of my favorites. I'm hoping that the next time, I'll be able to improve my shots.

From Bride to Wife

It's been almost 2 months since we got married and yeah, I must admit I still have a wedding hangover. I just can't help myself from still checking out our wedding pictures and onsite video. I've even tried my wedding gown twice to see if it still fits. It doesn't. :(

Most of my friends would ask me how it feels to be a wife. Honestly, there's not much difference except for the fact that we're now sharing one room. Partly it's because we're living with his parents so I'm not really obliged to clean the house, wash our clothes, cook meals, and other stuff that a typical housewife does. I only have my husband (naks!) to take care of.

Now adjusting my life as his wife is a different story since I have to deal living out of my parents place and moving with my husband and his family. I've known my husband for more than 5 years now and I half expected to live with a cluttered person. It was just amazing that we didn't have a difficult time adapting ourselves to each other's habits. I actually think it was him who had to adjust living with me since I would always remind him to put everything back to it's proper places. He sometimes complain that I keep telling him to do things like what his mother does. Talk about living with your mother!

What I miss the most are my mother's cooking and my dogs. Of course I miss my family too but I can always call them or text. On the other hand, I can't do that to my dogs or taste my mom's cooked meals not unless I'll go back home. Did I also mention our store? I never thought I would miss it but I do miss getting my daily fix of junk food. Since Nico's family is too health conscious for me, I had to make sure that everytime we go to the mall, I make it a point to buy myself a bag full of junk food. Teehee!

My husband just woke up and caught me doing this blog entry. Geez! I guess I have to add "privacy" as one of those things I miss about singlehood. Back home when I was single, I never had someone sneak up on me while blogging or writing comments. Wow, Ok, I'm rambling now. I have to stop. I'm no longer a bridezilla, no one will tolerate my tantrums anymore. I'm now a wife.

Status: Married!

It has been 13 days since I married my niccolo. All I can say is that so far, this has been the best 13 days of my life!
